This is a hidden GEM just a short drive from Rockwall! We arrived shortly after opening and walking in from the bitter cold to 85 degrees was amazing! It even feels sunny in there. We had purchased tickets ahead of time online so check in was very simple. We used Groupon for $29 tickets! The Park was open 11am-9pm. We weng on a Friday and skipped school to celebrate my daughters birthday with some friends. The kids had a blast!!!! The water was a little too cold for this mama but I did do the lazy river and a couple slides with my kids. The food was reasonably priced and made to order. The bar is a nice touch with several beer and mixed drink options. The only thing I didn't like were the 3 [must be professional flow riders] who arrived at opening and one of them thought it would be hilarious to repeatedly spray and drench the kids who were waiting their turn. In fact, he may have called himself "Jesus" and the kids thought he was drunk. I felt like one time could have been funny but over and over was rude. It looks like he must be a regular at doing this because the other two dudes knew enough to shield themselves with their boards or walk away. They repeatedly got on the ride and my kids waited patiently until the ride attendant gave them a turn. The ride attendant was so GOOD with the kids teaching them and helping them. For a group of 6, we were advised we couldn't occupy any more than 2 tables. Indoors, there are no lounge chairs so, if you intended to sit and read or relax, it's in a very uncomfortable wooden chair. That was the only other disappointment.
Went for a day pass and enjoyed the amenities. We got there early so we could ride the surf boards as the line for this activity is pretty long and slow. And if you aren’t very good at the surfing like myself your turn goes pretty quickly. We LOVED the slides. And marched up and down the stairs repeatedly to enjoy every single one of them. I think the top level Slides are worth a shot even if they are intense. Food and service were great and the arcade was a nice respite when the park started to get packed
Not going to lie .. They don't have much to do outside of the few slides, pool, lazy river, and the surfing attraction. Over priced nachos ($19) with old taco meat or chili beans, we couldn't really figure it out.. Not to mention PLEASE print out your online ticket because apparently if you need to switch days or something the Leads act as if the tickets have promt expiration dates on them and take forever just to get you a wristband. Management didn't bother to come assist nor offer anything to make us feel appreciated from their mischief so no we won't be coming back to Epic Waters in the future unless they upgrade their entertainment/ attractions.
Bought Groupon and loved our visit with yummy pizza. Wasn’t crowded day we visited. Performance was amazing. A must watch. Kids had a blast. Staffs were amazing. Pizza French fries were too good freshly made. Drinks were ok ok. Rest rooms were ok but one suggestions to the management ,please put hooks in the shower to hang clothes/towels. Arcade were pricy $20 for 16 points. Every game is 4/8/12 points. Overall loved our visit. Would visit again.
