I want to start off by saying this was a fun and easy course to play. However, it was the worse conditioned course I’ve ever played. The greens were bumpy and patchy. It was cheap, but I wouldn’t play it again even for how cheap it was. It would be a great course for a person who has never golfed before, but if you’re a handicap under 30 (yes, 30) I wouldn’t recommend playing here. That being said, the staff was amazing! So friendly and nice.
This is the first course my pops ever took me to circa 88. I love this track, pretty skeptical about the new design. Hopefully they won't charge Tierra Verde prices or worse Ditto aka Rangers. I always liked coming here for quality golf at a reasonable price. Now to the bad..as another person said I lost a 500$ Leupold rangefinder my wife bought me as a wedding present. I used it on #3 tee, accidentally left it on the tee marker, realized it on #4 fairway (less than 10min) group behind me didn't pick it up but said a guy on a Deere flatbed moving the tees for the head greens keeper to mow was in between our 2 groups. So to be honest I didn't lose it, it was stolen by a worker who denied it too the end. I hope radiation from the thing gives him uncurable ball cancer. Ppl suck..but I'll still make the drive at least once to play it when reopen. Oh and the price of rangefinders came down considerably as I was able to get a new one for half the price.
Nice course. Fee was acceptable. Enjoyed playing there. Some wet, bare, and hard ground spots.
I received an email from this course with a promotion to play here for $20 during the week. I am a pretty big golfer, but honestly never considered playing here. Big mistake, this course was great! Fun lay out and unique holes esp the volcano/mountain hole. The gentleman in the pro shop running the cards cracked me up too. Annnnd GO! I didn't play well due to the heat, but I will be coming back rather quickly. Tip of the hat on their precautions with the pandemic. I feel like they are doing it right compared to others I've played! Thanks Meadowbrook!
It really is a hidden gem. Plenty of twists and turns to keep a recreational golfer happy.
