My family and I loved this trip! The staff, specifically the lovely women up front and the people working in the barn, were great :) very accommodating and helpful! Thereâs plenty of things to do included with your stay but the things you have to pay for are very affordable. My husband and I are already planning our next trip there. We stayed 4 nights, we were originally booked for 3 but loved it so much we added a night while we were there
DO NOT STAY at North Texas Jellystone. We stayed here for spring break sat-wed. I would say this was one of the worst vacations we have had. When we first arrive at 4pm we were told by the front gate attendant that our cabin wasnât ready and they didnât know why. Come and check back in an hour to see if itâs ready. After I found out our friends cabin wasnât cleaned, I went to the front office I wanted to see what was going on and if they had and they said âwe donât know why you were told that your cabin is clean and ready.â Thatâs when the communication between the staff started breaking down. We knew coming into this vacation our cabins heater was broken but to our understanding it had only been broken for a week. Come to find out from a maintenance man that was a lie and it had been broken for 3 months. When I asked the manager why wasnât I made aware of this when I booked this cabin 3 months ago because my friends and I would have booked other cabins! The manager had no answer for this. Our first cabin had black mold under the sink and around the bottom of the shower. There were ants in the bathroom and the water from the sinks and shower smelled like rotten eggs. There was no way we were going to use shower or wash our hands with that water. On night 2, the night manager finally moved us to a different cabin in the pirate ship. The newer cabin was clean but the ship was very loud from the interstate traffic and the 40mph winds. There wasnât very much for our kids to do and the property really needs to be cleaned up. There were lots of stray cats. Itâs just so unfortunate that we wasted our money staying here. After the first cabin and not being able to get our money back it was so hard to somewhat relax and enjoy our vacation.
Everything was fantastic and my kids had an amazing time. The only 2 issues we had was that the laser tag was not working and that was disappointing to the kids. There was a large tree branch rubbing against the bedroom window and it sounded like someone trying to get in. This was alarming at first but the noise made for a restless night. Otherwise, we had an amazing time!
If you're thinking about going...BOOK NOW! I took my 10 year old to celebrate her birthday. From start to finish it was the most amazing adventure we had been on. The people at the front gate were warm and welcoming, gave me my key early because the cabin was ready, and they were so accommodating the entire time (they knew I had 9 girls with me). We went in March and there weren't too many people which made it an enjoyable experience. In the morning we checked out at 11 but were still able to enjoy the camp grounds with whatever was open on Sunday. This feels like an annual spring break trip for our family now.
We have been bringing our granddaughter to Burleson Jellystone starting at 3 years old. We have loved creating memories watching her growing in her climbing skills and mastering the monkey bars. She loves coming to Jellystone every year. Thank you for having a place so close to our home yo create these memories with our granddaughter.
