For the most part this course is a good value course. $19 for 18 holes with a cart was worth the hour drive to come check it out. Some of the tee boxes have hard soil so it’s hard to get a tee in. As of today about 3 of the 18 greens are in decent shape. Most of the fairways are decent with an occasional dirt patch. Where else are you dropping $19 for 18 that would look better? Exactly… At the end of the day you get what you pay for. I would definitely come back out this way to play another round.
The staff at the front desk were accommodating, allowing us to start early, which we appreciated. However, I must highlight the severe neglect of the course itself—it's been in bad shape for a long time and definitely not worth the $33 per person they charged. It's disappointing because it's the only course nearby, but I won't be returning. A change in ownership could greatly improve its upkeep. Here are some photos showing its current condition.
Well to start Archie behind the counter was great. Friendly seemed like we knew each other for years and could’ve talked for hours. He hooked me up asked me to check in after the round. Trying out the new hip and was pleased not a big crowd. I wasn’t pressured and never played in to other groups. Course was perfect for me. Yes there is a drought. So fairways were on the hard side. Greens were bare in spots and had some weeds Some greens not as good as others. For the value you need to accept these conditions. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back.
I had high hopes for this course, but unfortunately, it fell way short of expectations. The fairways were in terrible condition, with patches of dirt and uneven grass everywhere. It was almost impossible to enjoy the game with the way the course was maintained. On top of that, the customer service was awful. The staff seemed uninterested and barely acknowledged us. It felt like they didn’t care whether we were there or not. The greens were no better—poorly kept and bumpy, making it difficult to putt with any accuracy. To top it all off, the golf cart we were given barely worked and felt like it was on the verge of breaking down the entire time. I wouldn’t waste my time or money here again. There are much better options in the area.
This golf course must of been great in its day. They need help. Only a pro greens keeper would be able to save this course. It looks like they were in the middle of a construction project on every hole and none were finished. The club house has nothing for sale and the bar did not serve food because a group was using one of the meeting rooms.?!?! I did not understand that one. On a good note, pitchers of beer were $6.00!
