Philippine Basketball Legend, Jerry Codinera, Touches Down in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas: A Legendary Visit for a Cause and for Empowerment of Local Fil-Am Superstars Through Exclusive Events

Dallas, Texas – The Filipino American community and basketball enthusiasts in DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth), Texas are in for a momentous occasion as organizer, Company 316 CEO, Eric Napule in partnership with the Pamana Foundation through Jade Paule, presents PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) Legend, Jerry Codiñera, nicknamed the “Defense Minister” of Philippine basketball, in an exclusive visit.
Codinera earned the nickname “Defense Minister” for his defensive skills on the court.
This visit marks a significant event as Codiñera, a renowned coach and former professional basketball player, engages with fans and aspiring athletes through a series of special events aimed at raising funds of which the recipient is the Pamana Foundation, that provides scholarships to deserving students in the Philippines.

We are thrilled to share the amazing success of the recent meet and greet event with the Filipino basketball legend, Coach Jerry Codiñera! The event was a slam dunk, with fans from all over coming together to celebrate and connect with one of the most iconic figures in Philippine basketball history.
The atmosphere was electric as Coach Codiñera shared stories from his illustrious career and took countless photos with enthusiastic fans. It was truly a day to remember, filled with inspiration, camaraderie, and the shared love of the game.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made this event so special. Your support and passion for basketball are what make these moments possible.

Basketball Coaching Clinic
Date: June 1, 2024
Time: First session 8:30 am, Second session 11:30 am
Venue: Frederick P. Herring Parks & Recreation Center

There was a basketball clinic for young athletes, focusing on skills development, teamwork, and the fundamentals of the game. This clinic was designed to inspire and nurture the next generation of basketball players, providing them with invaluable insights and techniques from one of the sport’s greatest defenders.
Spectators were welcomed for free.
Basketball Exhibition Game
Date: June 2, 2024
Time: 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Venue: Same location as the June 1st event
Basketball Exhibition games and 3-Pt Shootout!
$50 per participant and includes a souvenir shirt. Limited spectators are welcome for free.
As one of the marquee events of the three-day series, an exciting basketball exhibition game will take center stage. This highly anticipated match will feature Jerry Codiñera and a selection of local basketball talents, promising an exhilarating showcase of skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Fans will witness Codiñera’s legendary defensive prowess, and his signature 18-foot jump shot up close. The exhibition game aims to promote camaraderie and highlight the unifying power of sports, bringing together the community in support of a noble cause.

Beyond education, Pamana also provides humanitarian aid, addressing needs like food, healthcare, and housing with projects such as the Noche Buena Project, Back to School Project, relief for calamity victims, local volunteer work, and various fundraising events, including “Legend for a Cause.”
Pamana’s mission is to elevate the most vulnerable, aiming to create a brighter, enduring legacy for future generations.
